Crowd Discovers More Along 54 3 cc

CROWD DISCOVERS MORE ALONG 54 – The 2nd annual 100 Mile Yard Sale took place over Labor Day Weekend. The event was held in communities along U.S. Highway 54 from Nevada, El Dorado Springs, Collins, Weaubleau, Wheatland, Hermitage, Preston, Macks Creek and Camdenton. Many families and groups set up individual yard sales along the highway. Most sellers set up at host locations such as the El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce at the intersection of Hwy. 54 and Hwy. 32 which provided a congregating area in high traffic locations for sellers to display their wares. Chamber Director and Discover More On Route 54 board member Jackson Tough mentioned “Saturday was the largest day by far but we had sellers (and buyers) all three days (Saturday, Sunday and Monday). Vendors lined up all around the perimeter of our northern parking lot and spilled over into the west lot. Hundreds of deal-seekers purchased a large variety of items, from clothing to furniture and just about anything in between. It was a great success according to both the vendors and the purchasing public! We are looking forward to our next big event.”  To follow the next event sponsored by Discover More On Route 54 go to www.Facebook.com/MOHwy54YardSale or check out 100mileyardsale.wordpress.com for information.
