DAR STARTS FISCAL YEAR – The Elizabeth Carey chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Nevada held the first meeting of the new fiscal year on Sept. 11.
This year’s new slate of officers were introduced by Regent Heather Brown. One new member, Wanda Burtoff, was also introduced and officially installed.
Following a catered lunch and a business meeting, Dr. Rosemary Noel presented a very interesting and informative program about founding father Thomas Jefferson.
The next meeting will be held on Oct. 9 at the Nevada Library meeting room. Anyone interested in becoming a member is welcome.
