On Saturday, April 15 at 12:52 p.m. the chief and assistant chief monitored the weather radar for possible tornado activity. Later that afternoon assistant chief responded to a possible car fire on N. Main St. No fire was found.

On Monday, April 17 at 6:28 a.m. the department was dispatched to a vehicle fire 6 miles east of town. The department was cancelled enroute. One truck and two firefighters responded. That afternoon at 4:43 p.m. the chief was dispatched to a residence on Ely Dr. for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.  No problem found.

On Friday, April 21 at 1:11 p.m. the department was dispatched to assist in a search and rescue.  Person was found unharmed. Four firefighters responded. Rest of department was cancelled enroute.

On Saturday, April 22 at 10:06 a.m. the fire department was dispatched to the intersection of US 54 and Hwy. 32 for a two vehicle accident. Two trucks and 12 firefighters responded.
