Fire report for week of Jan. 24

On Monday, Jan. 25, at 8:03 a.m. the Fire Chief responded to the Lions Club pre-school to a reported smell of gas. Spire Gas Company responded and took care of the problem.

On Monday, Jan. 25, at 5:44 p.m. the Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on N. Jackson to help the ambulance crew with a lift assist. Six firefighters responded.

On Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 10:41 p.m. the Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at US 54 hwy. and County Rd. 601 to provide traffic control. Truck 2 and five firefighters responded.

On Saturday, Jan. 30, at 8:46 a.m. the Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the “S” curves north of town on Hwy. 82. Trucks 2, 3 and 4 and 16 firefighters responded.
