On Sunday morning, July 5, at 10: 32 a.m., the Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of 97 Hwy. and 1000 Rd. to set up a landing zone for a medical aircraft. Trucks 2, 3, 4 and 5 and 13 firefighters responded.

On Wednesday, July 8, at 11:38 a.m., the Fire Department was dispatched to McDonald’s restaurant to an electrical fire. Fire was out on arrival. Trucks 2, 4 and 5 and seven firefighters responded.

On Thursday, July 9, the Fire Department was dispatched to three calls that afternoon and evening. The first call was for a lift assist on S. Vernon, second call was for a vehicle fire on HH Hwy., and E. 800 Rd., the third call on S. 651 Rd. to a vehicle accident.

On Saturday, July 11, the Fire Department took two calls. At 1:30 p.m., the department went to a residence on N. Main for a lift assist. At 1:39 p.m., the department was dispatched to the airport to set up and protect a landing zone for a medical aircraft. Five firefighters were at the lift assist and Trucks 2 and 4 and eight firefighters were at the airport.

Fire report for week of July 12

On Sunday, July 12, at 9:23 p.m., the fire chief was dispatched to a carbon monozide call on E. Thompson. A dangerous amount of CO was detected and appliance was turned off and the house was vented.
