Fire report for week of March 27

On Tuesday, March 29, at 4:38 p.m. the chief was dispatched to a residence on W. Martin to a reported gas leak. Situation was handled by Spire Gas Company. No problem was found.
Later that night at 11:45 p.m. the department was dispatched to a grass fire on the Monegaw Prairie Conservation land on 350 Rd. Four trucks and 10 firefighters responded.
On Friday, April 1, at 4:33 p.m. the department was dispatched to the corner of Lafayette and Vernon for a small grass fire. One truck and 13 firefighters responded.
