Fire report for week of Nov. 1

On Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 5:32 p.m. the Fire Department was dispatched to Allison Rd., south of Fields, to a report of fire in the ditch. Fire was out upon arrival. Truck 5 and six firefighters responded. Then, at 7:06 p.m. the department was dispatched to a reported large fire on the parking lot of the school. No fire was found. Upon investigation, a controlled fire in a fire pit was discovered at the Holiness Church. Fourteen firefighters responded.

Saturday, Nov. 7, at 8:30 a.m. Truck 2 and  seven firefighters responded to the airport to set up and protect a landing zone for a medical aircraft. Later that afternoon at 2 p.m. the Fire Department was dispatched to E. 800 Rd. and S. 151 Rd. for a brush fire. Five trucks and eleven firefighters worked the fire for four hours.
