Fire report for week of Sept. 25

On Monday, Sept. 25, at 9:37 p.m. the fire chief was dispatched to an apartment on S. Ohio St. for a reported natural gas leak in a cooking stove. The incident was turned over to the gas company.

On Thursday, Sept. 11, at 10:56 a.m. the fire department was dispatched to the airport to set up and protect a landing zone for a medical aircraft. One truck and five firefighters responded.

On Saturday, Sept. 13, at 4:19 p.m. the fire department was dispatched on a mutual aid call with Taberville Fire Department for a hay baler on fire. Four trucks and 10 firefighters responded.
