Flags Across America

Feb. 18 is President’s Day which is one of many holidays when it is appropriate to fly the American Flag. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary to Post 257 will recognize the special day by flying 50 small flags at the post home on the corner of Pine and First Streets. We chose to fly 50 flags in recognition of our 50 United States of America and also in honor of the 50 members we have enrolled in the Auxiliary this year.

Membership in the VFW Auxiliary is open to close relatives such as spouse, children or grandchildren of current members of a VFW Post or those military eligible for membership. The Auxiliary is open to both male and female members.
