Gardner family holds reunion

The descendants of William Finch Gardner and their cousins gathered for their annual reunion on Saturday, June 1, in the Vista Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. All five grandchildren of Paul (his youngest son) were present: Jeanie, Cindy, Lynn, Mark and Christy. It was a good time of visiting and sharing family photos. A delicious dinner was enjoyed after Ben Gardner asked the blessing.

Longest distance traveled prize was claimed by Christy Meloy Beck of Indianapolis, IN. Attending from Missouri and Kansas were: Connie Ward and Linda Ward of Peru, KS; Tammy Ward Raleigh of Mexico, MO; Sharon Fulton Pruitt, Sarah Pruitt Morris, James Morris and Ella Morris of Nevada; Betty McCoy Jacobs of El Dorado Springs; Mark Meloy, Jackson Meloy, Colleen Wisner Hubbard, Kyler Foley, Erlene Nall, Fred Nall and Byron Payne of Clinton; Luella Gardner Meloy, Jeanie Gardner Floyd, Curtis and Lucinda Meloy Wisner, Daniel, Shelby, Lydia and Truman Wisner of Osceola; and Lynn Gardner and Ben Gardner of Collins.

Door prizes (sly way to match faces with names) went to Kyler, Christy, Curtis, Connie, Sarah, Lydia, James and Colleen.

The group made plans to meet again Saturday, June 6, 2020.
