HEARTS OF LIONS

The El Dorado Springs Lions Club collected personal care supplies to create hygiene kits for local homeless youth. Many citizens were surprised to learn there are approximately 30 homeless youth in the school district: living in cars, sleeping in friends’ homes temporarily, in campers, or in structures without electricity or running water. The Lions would like to thank everyone who donated, and The Home Store for providing a collection site. Janelle Fugate, R-2 Elementary Literacy Coach, accepted the hygiene kits as well as a surplus of donated hygiene products on behalf of the El Dorado Springs school district, to be distributed to homeless students.
