Here are many examples of what TOPS can do

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Firefly Services building 700 E. Hospital Rd., on Thursday, July 16, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Warren called the meeting to order.

Carol and Phyllis led us in singing “A New Image.”

We said our TOPS and KOPS pledges

Warren led us in roll call, 15 members weighed in we had a gain of 3.4 and a loss of 7.8, giving us a net loss of 4.4.  Best Loser for the week was Jan with a 3.0-pound loss. Congratulations Jan. Other great losses were; Linda C 1 pound, Warren 1.8 pounds and Pam 2 pounds.

Warren went over some positions that need to be filled, and is looking for volunteers.

New Member Coach: LJ agreed to be the New Member Coach and Linda H will be the assistant.

Phyllis agreed to be the song leader assisted by Carol.

Coffee maker and clean up, usually Marilyn has the coffee going by the time anyone else gets there. Warren, Carol or Jean usually clean up.

The following still need filled:

TOPS Convention Chair, and assistant, Flower Chair assistant, photographer assistant, awards assistant, historian assistant and program assistant are still needed.

Steve and Juanita S. had the program today. They presented the TOPS Name Game. Each member was given a slip of paper and asked to write their first name. Then they were asked to take each letter of their name and give an example of what TOPS can do starting with each letter in their name. There were many great examples.

A = Affordable, also act of kindness, E = Eat right, J = Journal, C = Caring, A = Accountability, R = reaching out to someone, P = persistence, L = love, laughter, M = members, Y = Yeah when we have a loss, H = Hopeful (to reach goal), T = Team work.  Steve then asked for something that starts with V = Non scale Victory, such as finding your clothes are fitting looser.

Thank you, Steve and Juanita for showing us it takes all of us as a team to reach our goals.

Marble game, the pot is at $5, Sue won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

Linda H is passing around a signup sheet for Fall Rally, if you plan to attend the cost is $15 this must be paid and registered by Aug. 8. If you have not signed and paid and want to attend, please see Linda H.

Pat reminded us there is only two weeks to the end of the contest, both the chapter and the Fall Rally contest.
