At the weekly emergency operations center meeting Thursday, April 23, the following COVID-related numbers were released by Jenean Ehlers, RN, community services manager, Cedar County Health Department.

There have been five positive cases. NOTE: The positive cases in Cedar County will remain five for reporting requirements according to directions from the State, even though those patients soon will be recovered. Patients are determined to be “recovered” if they have survived for 30 days after receiving their diagnosis. All county positive cases have not reached that 30-day milestone yet. The first positive result was received March 28, 2020.

Information/results have been received on 122 patients from Cedar County.

There are three results pending.

Five people still are in quarantine.

Two people self quarantined as a matter of caution.
