LIONS SPONSOR CIRCUS

LIONS SPONSOR CIRCUS – The picture shows Lion President Charles Winfiel, the Lady Ringmaster of the Kelly Miller Circus, and Lion Treasurer Edith Winfiel. The El Dorado Springs Lions Club sponsored the Kelly Miller Circus which came to town Oct. 16.  The Circus preformed two shows and entertained 358 children and 329 adults.  Before they left town they spent over $900 at Woods Supermarket and on fuel and other supplies that they needed.

The El Dorado Springs Lions Club would like to thank the businesses that sold advance tickets for us – Evans Drug, Mike & Joes, Fugate Motors, Woods Supermarket, LCN Graphics, and Healy PC.  We thank Fugate Motors for providing us a place to set up the Circus.  We really appreciate all the community support from those who bought tickets.  The profit the Lions Club made all stays in the community to support local projects, such as, Shop With A Lion where we take about 50 children shopping for Christmas, eye screening and buying glasses, building ramps and upkeep of Lions Park, that is open for anybody to enjoy. This are just a few of the things the Lions do in the community.
