Experience Hearing Center, LLC wants a community that hears better and is donating up to 50 hours in service time for up to 10 individuals who need hearing aids, but lack the resources to acquire them. Ten appointments for Help Everyone Hear for the Holidays are available for Thursday, Nov 29, and Thursday, Dec. 6.

“This is another way we are using the giving season as a backdrop to give back to our communities,” explains Michelle Leroux, co-owner, Experience Hearing Center. “It started with asking our community members who use hearing aids to donate canned foods and non-perishable foods for area Thanksgiving baskets. In exchange for two food items, we gift them a pack of hearing aid batteries.”

Food donations will be provided to Community Outreach in Nevada and First Christian Church in El Dorado Springs. Experience Hearing Center will continue to exchange a pack of hearing aid batteries for every two canned food or non-perishable food items through Dec. 20 to benefit the two local food pantries.

“When we returned to our hometown of El Dorado Springs, we made it our mission to help our communities hear better,” says Michelle. “Help Everyone Hear for the Holidays is our way of giving back to individuals with a hearing loss, who do not qualify for a payment plan and cannot afford the cost of hearing aids.”

Help Everyone Hear for the Holidays utilizes the Starkey Hearing Foundation’s Hear Now program. The current application processing fee for Hear Now is $250 per set of hearing aids ($125 per hearing aid). If an application is denied, the processing fee will be returned. Applications will be provided to the program participant during their hearing screening appointment with Richard Leroux, B.S., BC-HIS.
