MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH – In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, employees and auxiliary members at Cedar County Memorial Hospital came together to form a “human” green ribbon, the logo for mental health awareness. Our hospital is proud to invest in the mental health of our community through the Senior Life Solutions program, who organized the event to promote awareness. One in five Americans are affected by a mental health condition, and the incidence is even more prevalent in rural communities and among seniors. Seeking care for mental health is as important as receiving treatment for physical conditions. We are joining hands with participants across the country to help fight stigmas, provide support, educate the public and advocate for equal care. Wear a green ribbon during the month of May to raise Mental Health Awareness.
