Cody D. Singleton, 16, Osceola, was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 13 at Hwy V four miles south of Osceola that occurred at 10:15 p.m. on Saturday,  April 27.

According to the report by Trooper T. C. Baker and a team of investigators, the victim as westbound in a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu when he failed to yield and pulled into the path of a southbound 2015 Dodge 1500 driven by Kenneth Cox, 53, Parragould, AR, who was wearing a seatbelt. The report said that Mr. Singleton was not buckled up nor was his passenger, Rachel E, Goodbrake, 18, who was life flighted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield,  with injuries reported as serious.

Kirk A. Coward, 33, and Matthew R. Horne, 34, both of Paragould, AR, passengers in the Cox vehicle who were not buckled up, both suffered injuries reported as moderate. Coward was transported by Ellett Memorial EMS to Mercy Hospital, Springfield. Horne was transported by CMH EMS to CMH Bolivar.
