Sams’ Scavenger Scrimmage

Sam’s Scavenger Scrimmage will be Saturday, July 19, at 12 noon beginning at the Sunderwirth Bandstand.

A new element added to the 2020 scavenger hunt will be walking instead of driving.  The area will be 3-5 blocks North-South, 2-3 blocks East-West of Main street.  Each team must provide their own digital camera or cell phone to record pictures of the clues that they are provided. Each team will consist of three to five (3 – 5) members and they must stay together during the hunt, as always you may phone a friend. Each team member must be at least 18 years of age. Each team will receive one copy of the clues. Registration is mandatory by noon on Friday, July 17.

The winning team will be the first (1st) team that has returned to the bandstand with the largest number of correct clues on the list in the least amount of time.  (One hour, maximum).

Register for Talent Contest

Judi is currently accepting registrations for the 2020 talent contest.  Anyone wishing to enter the talent contest can do so by calling 417-876-2691.  Auditions are not required; however, advance registration is required.  It is necessary to have each contestant name (first & last), age(s), what the talent is, name of music or song and a contact telephone number.  Songs will not be repeated, so you must register your song and if you change your song, you must contact Judi to make sure that the song is not already spoken for.  There is an answering machine if Judi is unavailable when you call.  Your call will be returned to confirm your registration.  You must provide your own accompaniment, and props, however due to time constraints, no bands or drum performances will be permitted in the contest.  Our sound company is able to get your music from the internet or me.

There will be 3 age categories and the overall winner can come from any age group (winning $100) and will be invited back the following year for an encore performance before the talent show.  Each age category will have a 1st ($75.), 2nd ($50), 3rd (25.) place winner.

The talent contest will be limited to the first 25 contestants that register.  Judi will accept a small number of contestants on the waiting list for any spots that come open.
