The El Dorado Springs City Council finalized the Picnic entertainment line-up at their Monday, July 6, meeting. Contracts were signed for:

Wednesday, July 15 – Rekoil  for $599. To play at  Dancing in the Park: (Until this year the dance was held on the West Spring Street. This year the band will play on the stage in the Park.)

Thursday, July 16 – Dederick Christian Youth Choir for $50:

Friday, July 17 – Kassy Wynes Alexander for $50, Paula Newman for $50, Linda Brewer Smith for $50, Dave Perryman and The County Review  for $500 and Members Only for $2,500;

Saturday, July 18 – Ginelle Esry for $50, Carrie Estelle McWilliams for $50, Lori Sifford and Friends for $800. A contract with Wade Hayes for Saturday night was executed earlier in the year.

Ron Alumbaugh will announce and entertain during the 2020 Picnic for $1,000.

During the Public Forum, Tina Stewart stated that she didn’t think there should be a Picnic this year.

All councilmen were present; Mayor Nathan Murrell, Nick Bland, Jim Luster and Brett Entrikin and Cory Gayman by video conferencing. City Manager Bruce Rogers and City Clerk Kandi Baldwin were also present.

Gayman asked if the street project was about to begin. Rogers said it should begin pretty quickly. Gayman also asked about the status of ideas concerning the pool. Rogers said he had talked to a pool company in Springfield and they recommended building a new pool.
