The El Dorado Springs R-II Board had an exceptionally short agenda for its July 11 meeting – a review from ED Counsel on Student Handbooks and a report on lightning damage insurance claim progress.

All board members were present except Mark Burley – Tad Whiesell, Bennie Brower, Terry Shepherd, Josh Floyd, Nathan Murrell and Darrell Eason – presiding.

Supt. Mark Koca said he did not have final figures yet on lightning damage but thought initial estimates might be high. He said there was only about $6,000 in fire damage.

Attorney Emily Omohuncro, representing ED Counsel, LLC, was present to report on their progress in writing handbooks for the school – Student, Teacher, Administration and Board. She, Supt. Mark Koca and the board agreed that the completed handbooks would be put on-line for easy access with a few hard copies in the office for those who need them.
