RESSURECTION SUNDAY

RESURRECTION SUNDAY – Our Pape Christian Church family enjoyed a full Holy Week. Our weekly prayer meeting was held on Wednesday evening. Then we enjoyed our first Good Friday Service on Friday evening. On Sunday morning we began our Easter celebration with a delicious breakfast. Then the Easter Program began with a couple of songs by the Pape Youth Bell Choir followed by the younger children telling about the colors of Easter. The program finale was a moving performance by the Pape Youth, from the Gospel of John depicting the events at the discovery of the Empty Tomb.

For his Easter message, Brother Dennis also visited the Empty Tomb and reminded us of the greatest event in the history of man, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ – our Savior – who death could not hold.

Even with the busy schedule, we still had time for an Easter egg hunt complete with a visit by the Easter Bunny and the kids took full advantage of the recent addition of swings, slide and jungle gym, officially known as, “Albert’s Playground.”
