Lockwood man jailed on child endangerment and drug charges after capias warrants

A Lockwood man was taken into custody last week on outstanding capias warrants tied to child endangerment and drug possession charges originating in Greene County.

According to jail records, Trenton Buentello was arrested Jan. 23, 2026, by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and booked into custody later that afternoon.

Court records show Buentello is charged with endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs in the first degree, first offense, as well as possession of a controlled substance. The charges stem from alleged incidents dated July 2, 2022, and Sept. 1, 2022, respectively.

Both charges were listed as warrant arrests, with capias warrants issued in the cases. No bond amounts were set at the time of booking, according to jail records.

The cases remain pending in Greene County.

As of press time, Buentello remained in custody at the Cedar County jail.

Dade County man jailed on capias warrants in multiple sex-related cases

An Everton man was taken into custody last week on multiple outstanding capias warrants tied to sex-related charges filed in Dade County.

According to jail records, Christopher Douty was arrested Jan. 21, 2026, by the Dade County Sheriff’s Office and booked into custody that evening.

Court records show Douty faces charges of second-degree sodomy, second-degree sexual abuse, and prostitution. All three charges stem from alleged incidents dated Dec. 18, 2025.

The arrests were made pursuant to capias warrants, and no bond amounts were listed at the time of booking.

The cases remain pending in Dade County.

As of press time, Douty remained in custody in the Cedar County jail.
