El Dorado Springs man jailed following arrest by City Police

An El Dorado Springs man was taken into custody on March 7 following an arrest by the El Dorado Springs Police Department.

John Sant Jr., 23, was booked into the Cedar County Jail at 3:25 p.m. on March 8.

As of press time, no formal charges, bond amount, court dates, judge, or prosecuting attorney were listed in publicly available records related to the arrest.

As of press time, the individual was still being held at the Cedar County Jail.

Golden City man jailed on jailer-to-appear warrant

A Golden City man was taken into custody on March 6 after authorities served a warrant for failure to appear in a felony case.

Jayson Harrison, 39, was arrested by the Dade County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Cedar County Jail at 5:14 p.m. the same day. Court records show Harrison is charged with failure to appear on a felony charge.

The records list the warrant as issued on March 6, 2026. Bond was set at $250 cash only.

Publicly available court records reviewed did not list additional pending charges or past offenses beyond the failure-to-appear warrant associated with this case.

As of press time, the individual was still being held at the Cedar County Jail.

Marshfield Man jailed on assault, stealing, and failure-to-appear warrants

A Marshfield man was taken into custody on March 6 on multiple outstanding warrants stemming from alleged incidents in 2025 and 2026.

Caydon Cox, 21, was arrested and booked into the Cedar County Jail at 2:48 p.m. Court records show Cox faces a charge of fourth-degree assault pursuant to subdivision (1), (5), related to an alleged incident dated May 31, 2025. Bond on that charge was set at $5,000 cash or surety.

He also faces a charge of stealing, connected to the same alleged offense on May 31, 2025. No bond amount was listed for that charge at the time of booking.

In addition, Cox was served with a warrant for failure to appear dated March 6, 2026. Bond on that warrant was set at $1,500 cash or surety.

Authorities in Cedar and Dade counties issued the warrants.

Sheldon Man Jailed on Felony Firearm Possession Charge

A Sheldon man was taken into custody on March 3 after authorities served a warrant charging him with unlawful possession of a firearm.

Charles Gillan, 44, was arrested by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Cedar County Jail at 2:32 p.m. Court records show Gillan is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, a felony, with the alleged offense occurring on March 3, 2026.

Bond in the case was set at $50,000 cash only.

Publicly available court records reviewed at the time of publication did not list additional pending charges or past offenses beyond the firearm possession charge associated with this warrant.
