On a wintery Thursday evening, Jan. 11, the El Dorado Springs R-2 board met with all present except Board Member Bennie Brower –Chad Whitesell, Mark Burley, Terry Shepard, Josh Floyd, Gregg Beydler and Darrell Eason – presiding.

The board opened bids on the driveway, parking lot off of Twyman by the track: Kenney – $133.892.50, Hamilton – $78,000 and Dane Perry – $54,815. The board voted to accept the Perry bid.

Supt Mark Koca handed out the summary of the audit by KPM CPAs and Advisors.

As of the end of the fiscal year, the district had total assets of $9,250,235.

Supt. Koca reported that Cedar County Memorial Hospital wants to make a proposal for on-site health services. He did not have specific details. The board would like to see more information and details.

In closed session, the board voted to accept the resignation for retirement at the end of the school year by Steve Thomas, speech pathologist.
