The Stockton Lake PRCA Rodeo returned this past weekend, bringing the community together for a record-breaking event once again. According to organizers, this year marked the fifth consecutive year of record attendance, with crowds filling the stands to enjoy beautiful weather, nonstop entertainment, and good old-fashioned rodeo action.

From the moment the gates opened, it was clear this wasn’t just another rodeo weekend — it was a celebration. Families and fans from across the region poured in, creating an electric atmosphere. Local vendors were set up selling goods or handing out treats, and the mechanical bull offered laughs and friendly challenges throughout the evening. Kids had a blast with Mutton Bustin’ and Dummy Ropin’, while the Paul Bogart concert added star power to Friday night.

The rodeo page kept the community updated throughout the weekend with posts like “IT’S RODEO TIME!” and highlighted special moments like the Golden Circle of Champions, the Diamond Dash, the Kids Scramble, and, of course, Manu the Bull Jumper. The Mutton Bustin’ competition was a big hit, with Friday’s finalists including Charlotte Hamilton, Etta Haines, Grahams Kenney, Tristan Kenney, Madison Dawson, Carson Stewart, Colt Williams, Denver Williams, Oliver Bergman, Anakin Lenaron, Wilder Lebaron, and Staysha Stewart. Saturday’s finalists were Jett Bogart, Ace Bogart, Thomas Chapman, Nikoh Williams, Kayden Ray, Oliver Bergman, Tucker Pierce, Baylor Kenney, Libby Latrell, Addison Williams, Arthur Roper, Cedric Roper, and Colt Williams.

On social media, the rodeo team thanked the public, saying, “THANK YOU for helping us have a Record-Setting Year—5 years in a row!”

As someone who has attended this rodeo since the beginning, I can say without hesitation that this year was one of the best. Parking was well organized, the volunteers and staff were helpful and friendly, and getting in and out was easy. The show itself was top-notch. Honestly, writing this article, I can tell anyone reading this, I go for the corn dogs the energy Kelly Kenney brings, and that hilarious rodeo clown working for the crowd — it’s a tradition at this point. This event isn’t just a rodeo — it’s something the Stockton community looks forward to each year, and once again, it delivered. Thank you Stockton Lake PRCA Rodeo.
