Swopes family holds reunion

The families of the late Melvin T. and Goldie (Norris) Swopes gathered June 25, 2017, at the Circle S Feed Store with 45 members in attendance. This is the 29th year of gathering together for our reunion. So thankful for each one attending. Our prayers go out to those ill and unable to attend.

Ron Swopes asked the blessing before our great meal. The afternoon was spent visiting and remembering the ones gone on before.

Those attending were: from Rich Hill – Lynn and Pam Allen; from Springfield – James and Phyllis (Coleman) Kenney, Raymond and Clare Mae (Swopes) Garrison; From Appleton City – Leroy and Dorotha (Hillsman) Swopes, Dennis and Ellen (Swopes) Dunham, Lucinda (Dunham) Park and daughters, Lea Anna, and Melgnn; from Straford – Dwight and Eileen Swopes; from Pleasant Hill – Bob and Bernadine (Allen) George; from Nevada – Tom and Grace (Swopes) Harold, Randy and Debbie Allen, Dick and Connie Allen; from Walker – Clint and Raye Swopes, Crystal Gapan and children: Electra, Drake, Davion and Eric; from Buffalo – Lindsey, Austin and Bailey Ward, Kathy Moore; from El Dorado Springs – Ron and Janet Swopes, Jac, Mandi, Kanen and Kyle Hutchison, Quade Wood, Rick Swopes, Melvin (Vess) Swopes, Derl Barnett and June (Swopes) Coleman.

We plan to meet again next year June 24, 2018, at the Circle S Feed Store north of El Dorado Springs.
