Your Municipal Band had a wonderful kick-off to its summer of programs last weekend! We had nice crowds turn out to listen to our music, which always makes playing more fun. Friday evening the crowd was served free popcorn provided by Fugate Motors, Shannon and Associates and the El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. It seemed that everyone enjoyed their bags of goodies as they munched, chatted and listened to the Band play. Noah and Debbie Marsh celebrated their birthdays and the Band dedicated “Swingin’ Safari” to them on their special day. We had some out-of-town guests Saturday and dedicated a couple of songs to them. This coming weekend, one of our Band Members will be getting married, so Sunday, we dedicated “You Are My Sunshine” to her.
We welcomed four new members into the Band this weekend and hope they feel very welcome.
We will be celebrating Flag Day on Sunday, June 12 (since we do not play on the 14th). Remember that your Band plays every Friday and Saturday evening from 8 to 9 and every Sunday afternoon from 2 to 3. We’d love to have you stop by for a listen! If there is a song you’d like us to play, let us know what you would like to hear.
