TIFFIN BAPTIST CHURCH CELEBRATES ITS 125TH ANNIVERSARY – The Tiffin Baptist Church celebrated it’s 125th anniversary on Sunday, May 7. The morning message was by James Smith, who pastored there from 1980 to 1982. Following the carry-in lunch, the afternoon program allowed former pastors and members the opportunity to share their memories of their time at Tiffin.
Special recognitions included the oldest members, Orville Taylor and Mildred Moore; former Pastors present, Don and Pat Barger, James and Jennifer Smith and Greg McCune.
Jerry Burch (and wife), the great-great grandson of Ben and Martha Burch, who donated the original land for the church to be built on in 1892, was present.
The Circuit Riders, an all men, a capella group then entertained with wonderful harmony and reflections on old churches and the comforts we now have.
Following the program was a time of refreshments, visiting, looking at pictures, etc.
It was a beautiful Lord’s day to celebrate His presence in Tiffin.
