Tips for holiday temptations

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Firefly Services building, on Thursday, Sept. 18, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Warren led us in roll call, Seventeen members weighed in. We had a 7.6 gain and a 1.8 loss. Giving us a net gain of 5.8.

Marble game: There is $34 in the pot, Jean won the chance to draw but did not get the winning one.

Marilyn had the program today. It tied in with our opening song, It is the “Spooky Season,” Halloween begins tempting time of year”. It starts with the tempting Halloween candy and continues through the Thanksgiving pies through the Christmas candy and office parties, then comes February with the candy hearts and chocolate. So, keep in mind “Just because that is the way that the season usually plays out, doesn’t mean it has to be that way this year!”

She then shared some “Tips for Success”

Savoring one cookie is more enjoyable than gorging on six cookies

Exercising regularly becomes easy when you choose the exercise that you like to do.

Cutting off snacking at a set time early in the evening helps avoid overeating

Members shared their tips that work for them.

Then Marilyn had us do some fun Halloween exercises.
