Tops Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in the Grace Methodist Church, 201 E Broadway on Thursday, Oct. 1, for their weekly weigh-in and meeting.

Carol led us in singing “Halloween Song.”

We said our TOPS and KOPS Pledges.

Susan opened the meeting with the request for the Secretaries’ report. Report given by Jean; one correction noted.  Approved my motion from Robbie and second by Warren with correction. (ARD Date corrected from October 4 to October 3).

ARD: Susan went over final preparations for ARD. It appears everyone has a ride. Remember we must be seated by 9:50 a.m., doors open at 9:15 a.m. Masks are optional as far as we know but please bring one just in case.

New contest starts today. Be sure to let Robbie know if you lose weight as that is the only way you will get a ticket put in the jar.

Carol is collecting Best Choice Labels and please give your Woods receipts to Robbie she will pass on to Jennifer.

Marble game: Sue C won the right to draw but did not get the winning one. Pot is at $24.

Susan led us in roll call and walking report. Twenty-Four weighed in.  We had an 8.8 lb. gain and a 20.2 lb. loss resulting in a 11.4 net loss.

Best loser for the week was Warren with a 2.8 loss Congratulations Warren! Other good losses were:

Laura 2.6, Sue C 2.2, Sandi 2.0, Carol 2.0, Mary L 3.6 and Carolyn 2.6. (Mary and Carolyn were not able to stay for the meeting so were not in the running for best loser.)

The floor was turned over to Marilyn to present the awards for September;

The chapter had a net gain in September of 2.0 lbs.

Winner of free dues: Carol, since she is a KOPS, she gave her free dues to the week’s best loser, Warren.

Best loser for the month of September was Sue C with a loss of 7.0 (5.6) average. She won $4.10 for her efforts.

Linda C received a certificate for back in black with perfect attendance for the month of August

Linda H, Margie, and Juda all received back in black with perfect attendance for the month of September.

Laura H received a certificate for 95 lb. loss

Sue C received certificate and charm six weeks continual loss

Members on the 20 lb. to goal stick are: Linda H, LJ, Judy D, Chris, Margie, Juda, Sue C and Linda C.

Carol said she did the math on the chapter’s losses so far this year. We only have three more months till the end of the year. To be a Gold Star Chapter we must have a 3 lb average loss per member. We have so far 116.8 loss and gains of 87.2. Let’s keep up this week’s good work and end the year with a big loss.

Susan reminded us of the November 21 parade. We need ideas.
