TOPS installs new officers for the 2024-25 term

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Preferred Family Healthcare building, 700 E. Hospital Rd, El Dorado Springs on Thursday, July 25, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Warren, our leader, called the meeting to order.

We said our TOPS and KOPS Pledges.

Warren led us in roll call; 15 members weighed in.  The chapter had a gain of 16.4 lbs. and a loss of .6 pounds which gave us a net gain of 15.8 lbs.

The week’s best loser was Jan with a loss of 04.  Congratulations.

We welcomed our TOPS Advocate, Sandy Chamberland and Felica and John De Klein, Leader and Secretary of the other TOPS Chapter that meets each Saturday in the Library.

Sandy visits TOPS Chapters in her area which is South West Missouri, she has a total of 27 TOPS Chapters she visits. She presented an excellent TOPS Program titled “A Wellness Check for The Health of It” She talked about “wellness Check” of our chapters and of ourselves.  She said Mind Matters. Our mind set and thoughts play an important role in our weight loss journey. Negative thoughts can cause negative reactions.

We then had installation of the officers for the 2024-2025 term. There were no new officers to install as all the old ones kept their positions. Pat led us in a very nice program about how the Officers and Members are pieces for a completed puzzle. It takes all the pieces to make a chapter. The officers are: Leader, Warren Hall, Co-Leader Linda Hall, Secretary, Jean Lovewell, Treasurer Sue Christy, Weight recorder Marilyn Dresh and Assistant weight recorder, Carol Stubock.

Today is the end of the Summer Contest. If you did a BINGO sheet, they need to be turned in.

Warren reminded us of the “Seeds of Hope” Conference coming up soon. Also, TOPS fun Day is September 14th. You must have your registration in to Sue by Aug. 8.

Marble Game: The pot was won last week so this week there was $2.50 in the pot.  Samantha won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

With no other business we closed with our motto “IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME.”

TOPS #MO 9319 meets each Thursday Morning in the “Preferred Family Healthcare building at 700 E. Hospital Rd, El Dorado Springs. Weigh-in starts at 7:45 a.m. the meeting begins at 8:45 a.m. and is over by 10 a.m.
