Susan said we have 3 Real Life Books that have not been paid for and taken. They are available if anyone wants one. The cost is $17.72 each.

Warren presented the program today. He used the 2nd part of Chapter Two of the Real-Life book. His program focused on exchanges and he had a visual for to help explain it. We were asked to guess the ounces in each glass he had then he showed us a serving of fish should be about the size of a checkbook, a serving of meat about the size of a deck of cards, a serving of peanut butter the size of a golf ball, a serving of cheese the size of 4 dice, a serving of salad dressing the size of a shot glass. He then gave us a list of a day’s menu and asked us to guess the number of calories for the day. Our members are pretty good as many guessed very close to the right amount. If you do not want to use the exchange program, TOPS suggests “My Plate” you just fill your plate with 1⁄2 of plate fruits and veggies, 1⁄4 protein and 1⁄4 grains. You can have a 6. oz glass of milk as your dairy.

Thank you, Warren, you made the exchange system make sense.

With no other business meeting was adjourned with the thought of the day. “Everything changes with one good decision…or one bad one.
