TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Preferred Family Healthcare building, 700 E. Hospital Rd., El Dorado Springs on Thursday, May 2, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Warren, our leader, called the meeting to order.

Carol led us in singing “I Love My TOPS Club”

We said our TOPS & KOPS Pledges

Warren led us in roll call; 20 members weighed in. The chapter had a gain of 9.2 lbs. and a loss of 12.2 pounds which gave us a net loss of 3 pounds.

The week’s best loser was Pat with a loss of 3.6 pounds, congratulations Pat.

Other good losses were; Linda C 1.2, Jan 2.2, and Warren 3.2.  Hopefully State Recognition Days renewed our determination to lose the weight and follow a healthier lifestyle.

Linda Hall had the program today, the Awards for the month of April!

Warren received a certificate for walking 522 miles since the first of the year.

Pat received a 25-pound loss certificate and Rachael received a 500 miles walked certificate and the best loser of the Month Certificate. Rachael lost 4.4 pounds in April.  Congratulations to all our winning by losing members.

KOPS: Linda Hall earned her 500 miles walked and KOPS in black with a perfect attendance certificate.

Linda presented Margie with her KOPS Certificate and charm

Winner of free dues was Linda C.

The chapter did not have a good April; we had a gain of 43.6 and a loss of 28.2 leaving us with a net gain of 15.4.

We thank Linda for presenting these awards each month.

LJ will have the program next week.

Warren read some correspondence from TOPS.org. The newsletters are found online as they are sent to each member.

The worldwide “Seeds of Hope” Conference in Springfield is preparing for a great 3-day conference in Springfield at the Oasis Hotel. This is a conference sponsored by TOPS to learn about healthy living. One of our members has registered and has reserved a room. This will not be paid for in any way by our chapter so sharing a room will really help in cost. The registration fee is $70 for the three days.

Remember the TOPS Summer contest started this week. Laura is keeping track of our progress. There are only two things a member must do; lose weight and walk.

Warren presented the chapter with the “Shine Like A Diamond” Certificate we won for last year’s participation in the contest.

Marble Game: Jean won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

With no other business meeting was adjourned with our motto:

IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME
