TOPS sings Happy Birthday to Pat

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Firefly Services building, on Thursday, June 5, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Our leader, Warren, called the meeting to order, Carol led us in singing “Scale So Low”.

We said our pledges. Marilyn led us in a series of exercises.

Linda Hall presented the awards for the month of May.

Erin received the back in black with perfect attendance certificate and a 15- pound loss certificate. Erin lost 4.8 for the month and is only 1 pound from her 20 -pound loss.

Pam was the best loser for the month of May; she lost 5 pounds and earned herself $11. Pam also reached her lowest weight of the year.  Congratulations Pam!

Warren, Steve, Linda H, and Laura, all received their 500 miles walked certificates.

Winner of free dues was Erin!

The chapter all together walked 2,211 miles in May.

We had 31.8 -pound gain and 33.2- pound loss giving us as a chapter a net loss of 1.4 pounds.

Thank you, Linda H. for doing the awards for us.

Linda H then gave a program she found in the TOPS NEWS from 1998. She passed around “weight loss/healthy eating lifestyle for each member to read aloud and then comment on. This led us to some very good conversation and ideas from other members on what works for them.

Warren noted, next week we will hold elections. Pat will also have a program for us.

Warren then led us in Roll Call:

We had 14 members weigh in today. We had a gain of 4.4 and a loss of 16.8 resulting in a net loss of 12.4 pounds!

Some of our very good losses were: Sue, 1.2; Pat 2.8, Pam 8 pounds over a two-week period, and Warren with a loss of 4.8. Congratulations Warren keep up the good work!

MARBLE GAME:  there is $15 in the marble game, Sue won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

Remember we will be going over the by-laws later on this month.

Sue reminded us that June Dues are due.
