TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)

TOPS Chapter 319 El Dorado Springs met in the Church of Christ meeting room on Thursday, Dec. 1.

Kay led us in singing “Deck The Fridge.”

Robbie announced the winners of her Thanksgiving Challenge. The TOPS who lost 2 lbs or more after the Thanksgiving holiday were, Warren, Susan and Emily. They won free dues. The KOPS who were 2 lbs under goal after the Thanksgiving holiday were; Marilyn, Marguerite, Paul and Melanie. They won a pumpkin  roll baked by Robbie.  Congratulations to all.

Robbie led us in roll call. We had 26 weigh in today and the chapter had a 5.2 lb loss. Best loser was Warren with a loss of 2.6 lbs.  Congratulations Warren.

Marilyn presented the awards for November.

She said the chapter had a net loss for November of 9.8 lbs. Linda W won the drawing for free dues.

Angie was awarded the Best Loser for the month of November she lost 9.2 lbs and won $6.82. Way to go Angie!

Sandi received a certificate and charm for six weeks steady loss and a certificate and charm for 30 lb loss.

Angie received a certificate and charm for her 10 lb loss and another for her 15 lb loss.

Margie received a certificate and charm for her vacation loss.

Emily received a new member certificate and charm and Melanie received a certificate and charm for bringing in a new member.

Verna received a certificate for her 65 lb loss.

Dorothy received her two-year KOPS charm and certificate

Marguerite received her 15-year KOPS charm and certificate. Marguerite also received a KOPS in Black charm for not being out of “leeway” the entire year.

KOPS in leeway: Marie, Marilyn,Dorothy,Marguerite, Paul, Linda H, Sharon, Jean, Melanie and Carol.

It is noted LJ, Juanita and Margie are “on the stick” which means they have 20 lbs or less to lose to reach their goal.

Jean read the secretaries report for November. This was approved as read.

Sharon gave the treasurer’s report for November.  Opening balance is $5,054.79, Income of $294.01, Expenses of $61.40 for an ending balance of $5,287.40.

Warren reported on the contest, there are 22 in the contest. In the TOPS part Chris and Susan are tied.  The KOPS part Marilyn is leading.

Carol won the right to draw for the marble but did not get the white one, only a few marbles remain in the bag.

Robbie reminded us the Christmas party will be Dec. 15. Bring a gift marked for female or male for the gift exchange. Snacks will follow gift exchange; bring a Christmas treat to share.

Robbie read a Christmas card and note from Jan Baunack, our former member, who we miss very much.

Carol gave us some information on weight divisions. Your weight the last weigh in of December determines what division you are in and could make you a division winner.

Carol then read a very nice story from “Good Ol’e Days”
