TOPS Chapter 319 El Dorado Springs (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) met in the Church of Christ Meeting Room on Thursday, April 6.

Kay led us in singing “The Place For Me.”

We said our TOPS and KOPS pledges.

Twenty nine weighed in today.

Tammy was the best loser of the week with a loss of 2.2 lbs. over a two week period.

Carol suggested we look at our recent TOPS Magazine.  She quoted motivational speaker, Nick Scott “An Excuse is a well-planned lie that you convince yourself is true”.  At age 16 Nick had an auto accident, he was unable to ever walk again.  At 17 he weighed 300 lbs.  He started wheel chair body building and today weighs 180 lbs of pure muscle.

This issue of TOPS News has a cut and burn chart along with stickers you can purchase.  Some members would like to have the stickers and try to lose those 10 lbs we are supposed to lose this year.  More on this next week.

Also it was noted Marguerite Goodwin’s name was in the TOPS Magazine this month as a 15 year KOPS.

Marilyn presented the awards for March today.

Robbie drew for free dues, Angie was the winner.

Steve was the month’s best loser with a loss of 7.4 lbs, he won $8.45.  Congratulations Steve.

Steve received his certificate and charm for his 20 lb loss of 3/23 and halfway to goal certificate and charm on 3/30.

Juanita received her certificate for 45 lbs loss on 3/23 and her KOPS certificate on reaching goal on 3/30/17.

Carol received her KOPS 9 year certificate and her all black certificate.

KOPS in leeway and below goal are:

Marie, Marilyn, Marguerite, Paul, and Sharon.  Those in leeway are Dorothy, Jean, Melanie and Carol.

Congratulations to all.

Marilyn presented LJ a vacation award from January.

Carol won the right to draw for a marble but got a green one.

Warren reported on the contest report.  Please turn in results to him each week.

Marilyn said Juanita lost a total of 48.6 to reach her goal.

We need to plan an open house.  Robbie has a speaker in mind, Sylvia’s grandson John.  Robbie will get with Sylvia on all the above and report back.

We closed with our motto.  “If It Is To Be IT IS Up To Me.”
