Twilight Gardeners Garden Club met on Aug. 15, 2017, at Grace UMC. President Urusla Fuller called the meeting to order.

Club Collect was recited.  Roll call (what is your way of water conservation) Chris and Doug Abbas, Jennifer Bland, Donna Cooper, Marilyn Dresch, Rama Hart, Ursula Fuller, Sharon Lansing, Jeana Oschsner, John Roseman, Carolyn West and Ramona VanWey.

Minutes were read and approved.

Treasure’s report given.

Correspondence: Information given on Solar Eclipse effect on wildlife.  Fall SW District meeting Sept. 29, in Springfield.  Time for Smokey Bear contest information to be given to schools who would like to participate.

Unfinished business:  Pink Garden had a clean up day.  Jeanna to check on Garden Gate magazine at library, was moved and 2nd that we would start ordering the magazine again for the library.  The Pink Garden needs some more attention.  Doug will see what is needed.

New Business: SW District meeting registration and $15 fee needs to be in by Aug. 30.  Master Gardeners class has been cancelled.  Club dues are due in September.  Carolyn gave information on Growing a Greener World as a club project to work with the schools, that wanted to participate in growing vegetables.  A motion, 2nd and approved to work as a club on this project.  Jeana updated us on the community garden project.  Sharon indicated the Farmers Market on Saturday, Oct. 14,  a one time only, we could sell plants.

Next meeting will be at the Jennifer Bland home 6 p.m.

Program given by Doug, Safe watering and grow great looking plants.  Good information on watering basics, what to do during dry spells, water conservation.
