TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Preferred Family Healthcare building, 700 E. Hospital Rd, El Dorado Springs on Thursday, Dec. 28, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Warren, our leader, called the meeting to order.

Carol led us in singing “To TOPS Club We Will Go.”

We said our TOPS & KOPS Pledges.

Warren led us in roll call; 15 members weighed in. The chapter had a gain of 10.8 lbs. and a loss of 8.0 with a net loss of 2.8.

Best Loser for the week was LJ with a loss of 4.6 lbs. Congratulations LJ.

Other good losses today were, Linda C 1.4 and Stephany 1.6.

Marble Game: there is $13.50 in the pot. Carol won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

Measurements will begin in January.

Warren reminded us if the weather is bad and the schools are closed due to bad weather, we will not have TOPS. Even if there is school and you are uncomfortable about getting out in bad weather, use your own judgment.

Jean had the program today. She presented a TOPS Talk on “VALUES: The Key To Maintaining Motivation Over the Long Term” With David A. Macklin, MD, CCFP.

This video discussed how to get the right mindset to lose and maintain your weight. He asked; “you want to lose weight? WHY?  What is important enough to you to get you to your best weight?

Tell yourself I want to work in the direction of being able to physically enjoy my life. I am willing to do the hard work to go in this direction.

This video sparked a great discussion among members.

We sang Happy Birthday to Sue.

Pam and Fred are celebrating their wedding anniversary this week.

Marilyn is celebrating 12 Consecutive years as a KOPS.

With no other business meeting was adjourned with our motto.
