Our Leader, Warren called the meeting to order.

Carol led us in singing “GO GO GO To TOPS. ”

We said our TOPS & KOPS pledges.

Warren led us in roll call, 14 members weighed in today, we had a gain of 3.6 pounds and a loss of 7.6 pounds, giving us a net loss of 4.0 pounds. Pat was the best loser of the week with a loss of 4.8. Linda C had a great loss as well, she lost 2.8, congratulations ladies.

Pat presented the program today. She spoke on “What Is Weight Loss?” Weight loss is losing pounds as we watch what we eat, taking fewer calories into our body. But weight loss means more than the physical aspect of shedding excess pounds, it means changing the way that we think about food. We must view food in a way that changes our mindset. In essence, weight loss means discipline and self-restraint from eating everything that we want to eat at a given moment. Weight loss does not happen overnight; it often requires sustained effort over a prolonged period of time. But if we focus on our long-term goal one step at a time we will have success.

Thank you Pat for a great program.

Jean will have the program next week.

Marble Game: There is $11 in the pot, Linda C won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

Warren said mark your calendars for April 22-24 2027 for the State TOPS Conference held in Springfield at the Oasis hotel.

Several members attended this year’s conference over the past weekend. Our chapter was honored as having the best average loss of a chapter with 21-40 members, our average loss was 9.32 pounds per member.

We are honored to have a member who won first place in Division 3 losing over 50 pounds, Erin we are so proud of you.

Our Chapter Queen Sue C received a diploma as recognition of reaching her goal and becoming a KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly). Congratulations Sue.

Several members commented on some of the speakers at the convention and said they were a big inspiration to them.

Missouri’s State King lost 253 pounds to goal. He is not only the Missouri State King but the International King, meaning he lost the most weight to goal this year in all of TOPS membership.
