YARD OF THE SUMMER

YARD OF THE SUMMER – The Iris Belles Federated Garden Club awarded Yard of the Summer to Bob and Vicki Ayers or 905 S. Main. They were awarded Yard of the Summer because of the continuous beauty of their yard and improvement for the past 13 years they have lived there. Pots of colorful hyacinths are placed on decorative chairs with a unique patio umbrella. Lilies, roses, hyacinths, sunflowers, various green shrubs and ivy are displayed in the front yard. The back yard is where Vicki spend a lot of time enjoying nature. There are Rose of Sharon, sunflowers, a magnolia tree and various other flowers including a small water fountain. Bob is not well and unable to work in their yard, so Vicki has maintained their yard for the last several years. Gardening is her therapy delivering a peace to her soul and a smile to her face.
