Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Larry Sorrells was “Prepare the Way of the Lord” from Matthew 3:1-12. Always welcome to join us for worship at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home with 12 in attendance to study the Bible.

The Mt. Zion area was glad to welcome the sunshine after all those gloomy days of November, we’re not complaining for we like living in Missouri.

Mt. Zion club will met Dec 18, at Marge Zink’s for Christmas party, all-day meeting.

Was a beautiful day for Christmas in the Country in Appleton City, good shopping , food and visiting.  Most area towns had something going on.

Dixie Peterson has been doing her therapy at Truman Lake Manor. Enjoying her visitors and having Howard eat lunch with her everyday.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Robin and Belle’s latest pullets are starting to lay eggs. Belle really is enjoying the frosty mornings, she makes Frosty Snow Dog Angels and is keeping a watch for Santa knowing he would eat her dog treats but leaves her a present.

Marge Zink and Beverly Pelkey have been keeping their exercise appointments both  are doing good except Marge still is whinny.

Wanda Rector enjoyed Thanksgiving in the home of Jeanie and family in Bolivar.

All the kids, young and old, enjoyed Santa Claus at Rockville United Methodist church last week. After Santa visited, we enjoyed a bountiful carry-in supper.
