Rockville United Methodist Church and River of Life Church of Rockville held a joint Easter Sunrise Service, Pastor Larry Sorrells’ message was Becoming Resurrected People -from John 20:1-18. James Damon doing the special music. A bountiful breakfast was enjoyed after the service.

Mt. Zion area was grateful for the good weather of the past week, especially Easter Sunday. Farmers have been preparing their fields for planting. The trees are getting leaves and flowers; some are blooming. Time to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

Dixie Peterson is still doing therapy at Truman Lake Manor. Was good talking to her by phone.

Wanda Rector visited Deb Rector in Harrisonville recently. Wanda’s yard is looking pretty.

John and Julia Snethen were busy this past week; Julia keeping beauty shop appointments and shopping.  John and Julia attended the baby shower in Knob Noster Saturday in the home of David and Chryshella Vandivier. Ron Thompson’s company over the weekend was Steve.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey have received their second Covd 19 vaccination. The Wood Fairly Easter wish came true he got his Easter hat.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle knew it was going to happen, Robin set eggs to hatch some baby chickens. Belle liked the baby’s, but the mother hen didn’t like Belle near the babies. Robin is still making little people blankets.

Easter dinner guests in the Marge Zink and Stay and Mike Griffith home were Howard Peterson and Brenda Peterson, Wanda Speake, Betty and Larry Teal.
