Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Larry Sorrells was “I’d Rather See a Sermon, than Hear One” from Luke 17:5-10.

You are Always Welcome to join us for Sunday Worship 9 a.m.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study had 12 in attendance at the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home; always room for one or two more.

Mt. Zion area had some rain, and a little cooler. Time to start bring the houseplants in. The wooly worms that I have reports of are all black, persimmon seeds are spoons. Fall gardens are starting to produce.  Fall decorations are up on our part of B highway. The Jayson Davis family have their hay bale art again this year. Down the road a ways are skeletons, pumpkins and etc. hanging. Not much color in the trees yet.

Dixie Peterson is now a patient at the Truman Lake Manor inn Lowry City. Recent visitors have been Mitchel Crawford, Marge Zink, Stacy Griffith, and Howard is there every day.

On Monday, Tom Pelkey kept his appointment with the eye doctor in Warrensburg, they enjoyed lunch with a cousin of Beverly’s, small world. Beverly found her through the computer, now they are nearly neighbors.

Wanda Rector enjoyed helping daughter, Jeanie, in Bolivar with the garage sale. Wanda had a good time visiting with the shoppers.

Glad the Pappinville Picnic got finished before the rain came last week. All had a good time.

Beverly Pelkey keep doctors appointment in Bolivar having a test done.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle and Robin are both happy at the same time.  Belle got to help work cows and did a good job. Belle says “What else did they expect, I’m a cow dog.” Blind Betty moo crying for her calf and Belle’s woofs to tell her it was okay. Robin didn’t sleep much since that went on most of the night.

All is well at the John and Julia Snethen home. John made a run to Whiteman Air Force this last week and Julia got a good doctor report this week.
