Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was conducted by Pastor Linda Wansing entitled “We area Promise” taken from Mathew 3:13-17. You are always welcome to join us for worship Sunday at 9 a.m. and Bible study Tuesday morning 9 a.m.

Mt. Zion area has enjoyed being out of the deep freeze and enjoyed warmer temperatures, more like we like winter to be.

We had a happy dog in the Mt. Zion area, Belle got to make some snow angels for several days when we had our recent snow. Speck and Petey had a good time recently; but Belle had the biggest smile. Robin and Mabel have another little person in their life.

We wish Gerry Kenny a speedy recovery from his hip surgery.

Wanda Rector enjoyed holidays with family.

Mt. Zion Club met Dec. 21 for their Christmas meeting in the home of Marge Zink. The ladies enjoyed soup and sandwiches, they played bingo for gifts for going home to prepare for the cold and snow. January meeting is Jan. 18, at the Marge Zink home.

Prayers and sympathy to the family of Dixie Peterson who died Jan. 5; graveside services and interment at Lowry City Cemetery on Jan. 9.

Terry and Judy Piepmier enjoyed Christmas with family, last week Judy was having tests done at Appleton City but still smiling.

Florence French enjoyed celebrating her 100th birthday on Dec 31, she got her wish, more than 100 birthday cards. One happy, beautiful lady.

Christmas Eve guests at the John and Julia Snethen home were Shella, Theo and David Vandivier of Knob Noster, Cody, Liam and Anna Wright of Stockton, Dusty Mathis and friend of Willard. They enjoy a delicious meal and gift exchange. John and Julia have kept busy running errands in Osceola and Clinton. Julia kept several doctors appointments.
