The Mt. Zion area is thankful for the rain; finally got enough to make mud everything looks fresh and growing.

Happy Birthday to June Marshall who celebrated her 90th birthday March 31.

Howard and Dixie Peterson celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary at Red Lobster in Springfield, they were married March 31, 1961. They visited the deer camp Sunday afternoon.

Glad Beverly Pelkey is able to be out and about; Tom has his container garden.

Enjoyed visiting with former neighbor, Helen Nixon, by phone, they are doing fine in El Dorado, KS.

Julia Snethen and a couple of other ladies from Clinton attended the Friendship night in Warrensburg on Monday evening. John and Julia Snethen went to Clinton Friday evening to help get organized for the ham and bean dinner on Saturday, then they all went to Golden Corral for supper before returning home. Saturday they left home at 6 a.m. and returned home at 4:30 after a long day at the Clinton Chapter #73 ham and bean dinner. Sunday was a quiet day for them but Julia met Shella Akers in Lowry City for a quick visit.
