Mount Zion area welcomed the Thursday afternoon rain showers but we could use more and appreciate what we got. Those cornfields that looked so bad after the 28 degree nights, are looking good now.

Memorial Day will soon be here. All the cemeteries are needing donations and help for upkeep. If you can spare any amount send it to your family cemetery.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Bella is still excited about all the new baby chickens. Robbin is wanting baby guineas, Bella doesn’t for they are never cute or nice. Petey likes his new truck, and the little people were visitors.

Rockville Hand quilters celebrated Mother’s Day with an all-day quilting and a delicious carry in dinner. They all received a very useful gift for Mother’s Day

Wanda Rector celebrated her 96th birthday with family and dog patch and some rockin’ in Arkansas.

Jewel Dene Nitche celebrated her birthday with family in Appleton City but she didn’t tell her age, only said you’re only as old as you feel. That day she felt young.

John and Julia Snethen had a busy week with John running his bus route and Julia keeping her appointments in Osceola before returning home. Julia did go with the Oats trip to Versailles and had a good trip but was tired for two days afterwards. She finally started buying flowers to plant.
