Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was by Pastor Larry Sorrells entitled “Prince of Peace?” We welcome you to join us each Sunday at 9 a.m. for worship.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held  Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home with eight in attendance to study the Bible. You are invited to join us.

Mt. Zion community welcomed the rain these past few days. Grass is growing back on the land where the water was over it for so long. Area schools are starting. Beverly Pelkey is celebrating her birthday.

Wish Sheri Suster a speedy recovery from her eye surgery.

Recent visitor in the Howard and Dixie home was Kent Crawford.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, not much going on, the guineas are growing and about ready to go to grandma Mabel’s, Belle hoping Robin doesn’t have any more to hatch.

Tom Pelkey is beginning to wonder if he will wear out his new lawn mower before frost. Tom finished harvesting his  container grown potatoes.   Beverly is busy feeding the humming birds, seems like more each day; but they are sure are entertaining to watch.

Tri County Quilt club will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 9, at Rockville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, a week later due to Labor Day.
