Mt. Zion Bible study held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home Tuesday at 7 p.m. with seven were in attendance.

Mt. Zion Club will meet Jan 17, in the Marge Zink home weather permitting.

Our sympathy to the family of Grace Dutcher of Mongaw Springs and Ed Strope family of the Ohio community.

The weather in the Mt. Zion area sure has been cold but thankfully very little ice, still lot of sickness going around.

Charlene Crayton and Donna Harris have been recent visitors in the Beverly Pelkey home. Tom Pelkey has been busy burning wood, glad he had extra to burn. The kittens are growing and providing lots of entertainment.

Howard Peterson celebrated his birthday Sunday in the home of Marge Zink, Stacy and Mike Griffith. Dixie is doing physical therapy two days a week and seems to be improving.

Mabel Siegismund welcomes a new great grandson, Thomas, born to Nathan and wife in Germany. At the Robin Siegismund farm Belle and Robin are still waiting for the baby goats, been waiting since Christmas.

On Dec. 30, John and Julia Snethen celebrated Christmas with Julia’s children in Nevada at Buzz’s Bar-B-Que. Those attending were James Thompson, Jr. and wife, Jamie, and Jamie’s nephew, of Perryton, TX, Georgetta Branstetter, and her son, Fred Stockstill, Barbie Winder and daughter, Bray, of Stockton, Frank and Cindy Thompson and daughter, Jaden, of Bolivar, and Ron Thompson and family of Appleton City. It was a wonderful evening for Julia and John. On New Year’s Day John and Julia met Cody Wright, Abby Jameson of Dadeville, Chryshella Akers and David Vandivier of Knob Noster at the Texas Roadhouse in Springfield for dinner to finish up their Christmas.

On Jan. 14, we celebrated John’s 70th birthday in their home. Julia had made a meal with David Vandivier’s help with cake and ice cream. Those attending were Michael and Logan Snethen, Cody Wright, Abby Jameson, Shella Akers, David Vandivier, Ron Thompson and family.
