Mt. Zion Home Bible study meets each Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home to study the Bible with eight in attendance.
Mt. Zion Club met July 20 in the home of Beverly Pelkey for an afternoon meeting, devotion was by Wilma Williams, secretary’s report by Julia Snethen, treasurer’s report by Beverly Pelkey. President Marge Zink opened the meeting with Roll Call “”What’s your favorite vegetable” potatoes and corn got the most votes. After a delicious assortment of snacks the ladies enjoyed red white and blue bingo. Next meeting will be Aug. 17 in Marge Zink home afternoon meeting.
Ginger Barnes was a recent visitor in the June Marshall home; June attended the Mt. Zion Club.
Most everyone has been staying in out of the heat.
Tom Pelkey is happy to have his tractor back from the shop; sure needed to mow the grass.
Family and friends gathered in the Zink home for family dinner, out of area attending were Pam Schlesner from Amarillo, TX, Melanie Luginsland, Thelma and Danny Cook and Mike, Larry and Jacque Hale from Kansas, Wanda Speake, Betty and Larry Teel from Springfield, Brenda Peterson Richmond, Mike and Stacy Griffith, Dixie and Howard Peterson, John and Julia Snethen, Tom and Beverly Pelkey, George Nie, Coralee Miller, Charles Wilson from the area.
At the Robin Siegismund farm the summer class of “kid goats” is ready to return home, they are needed at home for yard work. Robin will miss them but there will be more next year. The little chicks have feathered out not as cute as they were.
John Snethen ran his bus route this week and Julia attended the OATS meeting in Osceola on Thursday.
