Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will hold her Valentine’s Day dinner on Feb. 14 from 5-8 p.m.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday morning, Jan. 28. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon “Pretain to God “ was taken from Amos 4:6-12 and John 3:16-21.

The weather in the area had been good this past week. People had been doing a lot.

Helen Ellermsn received owrd that Helen Cantrell, of Glenville, IL, had passed away on Aug. 12, 2017. She had a home in Schell City. She usually came to Schell in May and October every year until her health kept her from coming, so she sold her place. I sent her a Christmas card and her daughter, Barbara, wrote and told me she had passed away. I think a lot of people around Schell. When she was here she attended the Schell United Methodist Church until the church closed. She was a member of the Schell City-Harwood United Methodist Church Women.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman had dinner at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center Thursday, Jan.25. It was the birthday dinner for those who had birthdays in January.
